HELLO, I'M DANIEL FÖRSTER

Computational materials scientist

I am a maître de conférences in physics (section 28) at the University of Orléans, France. I work at the ICMN (Interfaces, Confinement, Matériaux et Nanostructures) laboratory on the CNRS campus in the south of Orléans. As a member of the nanostructures team led by Pascal Andreazza, my research focuses on the numerical modelling of nanoalloys. My work primarily revolves around the modelling, simulation, and characterization of nanostructured materials. I am particularly interested in:

  • Development of accurate interatomic models for the description of high-entropy nanoalloys
  • Usage of deep learning for the analysis of experimental data, such as HRTEM and SAXS, of nanomaterials
  • Investigation of size-dependent properties in metal nanoparticles
